People Change is a short film that combines poetry and animation. I worked on this piece with my partner Sarah Piwko. We collaborated on the poetry and focused on the theme of girlhood.

After creating the poetry, I moved them over to Animate and added small animations and photos that connected to the writing. Then I moved those files to After Effects and paired them with the dialogue we had recorded.

From personal annecdotes of school dances to what our friends and family mean to us as we grow older, this piece felt like a positive sendoff into the adult world after college. It was a perfect amalgamation of the skills I’d learned in my Digital Art courses and the writing skills I’d refined in the Image and Word Minor.
